Open in Prized
Updated
A link and README badge that opens a public GitHub repository on a Prized box, cloned into ~/code, with Claude Code or Codex started in it.
1. Add the badge to your README
Replace OWNER/NAME with your repository:
[](https://prized.dev/open/github.com/OWNER/NAME)2. What a click does
- The visitor signs in, or signs up. A new workspace gets $30 of free credit, and the tour starts a box on it.
- A new workspace opens the repository from the tour's Open NAME in your browser. Anyone else picks one of their boxes, with Claude Code or Codex.
- The box's browser terminal clones the repository into
~/code/NAMEand starts the agent there. The agent asks for its own sign-in the first time.
Link forms
| Link | Opens |
|---|---|
https:/ | The repository |
https:/ | The same repository: a path inside it is ignored, and the default branch is cloned |
https:/ | Gitpod's form, so an Open in Gitpod link works with gitpod.io replaced by prized.dev. Replace its image with https:/ too |
Good to know
- Only public GitHub repositories clone this way. A private one fails with a line saying so, and the terminal opens a shell instead of the agent. On a box where you have run
gh auth loginandgh auth setup-git, your private repositories clone too. - If
~/code/NAMEalready holds a clone of the repository, it opens as it is, without a pull. If it holds something else, the clone goes to~/code/OWNER-NAME. - Opening the same link again returns to the terminal it opened, with the agent still running.
- Prized does not run
.gitpod.ymlor build adevcontainer.jsonby itself: see Moving from Ona (Gitpod).
