# Changelog

> What changed in each release of the prized CLI and box agent, newest first.

The dashboard, the API, and the site update continuously; this page lists the releases of the `prized` CLI, its daemon, and the box agent. The CLI updates itself ([Updates](https://prized.dev/docs/cli#updates)); to update now:

```bash
prized update
```

`prized version` shows the client, daemon, and box agent versions in use.

## 0.19.0 [#0190]

Released 2026-10-01.

* Commands start faster and make fewer round trips: `prized ssh`, `exec`, and `mosh` look a box up once instead of twice, and the binary is smaller.

## 0.18.1 [#0181]

Released 2026-10-01.

* [`npx prized`](https://prized.dev/docs/terminal-signup) signs you up, starts a box on the free credit, and sets up this machine, in one command.
* `npx prized` shows the whole sign-in link, and a link opened without its way back to the terminal says so instead of reporting it expired.
* A struggling network no longer prints tunnel and forwarding errors across a `prized mosh` session.

## 0.18.0 [#0180]

Released 2026-09-30.

* `prized start`, the sign-up that `npx prized` runs: sign in from this terminal, get a box, and set up this machine.
* The `npx prized` download retries a stalled transfer and shows its progress, instead of waiting on "Downloading…" forever.

## 0.17.0 [#0170]

Released 2026-09-27.

* Networks that block the tunnel reach the box through the Prized relay, and when no path works, `prized ssh`, `exec`, and `cp` stop with a hint that says what refused the connection ([Networks that block the tunnel](https://prized.dev/docs/troubleshooting#networks-that-block-the-tunnel)).
* A tunnel that fell back from UDP returns to it once UDP works again.
* Proxies: Macs that reach the web only through a system proxy work without `HTTPS_PROXY`, the daemon uses the proxy your shell sets, and `prized daemon proxy set` and `clear` change it; a proxy that does not answer never replaces one that works.
* `prized cp` copies at the tunnel's speed, and `cp -r` moves many files at a time.
* A port a program starts listening on in the box appears on your machine within seconds.
* `prized ssh` and `exec` work on a computer whose clock runs behind, instead of failing with `Permission denied (publickey)`.
* One-shot `prized ssh` and `exec` end without a stray "operation aborted" message.

## 0.16.0 [#0160]

Released 2026-09-22.

* On Windows, the first run names anything that blocks it and waits for its daemon to start.
* `prized agents handoff claude` says when the box already holds a Claude sign-in that stays in use.
* A folder dragged into `prized ssh` skips the files your sync ignore rules skip.
* The low-disk check before a new sync measures the disk the project will land on.
* Reliability fixes for [`prized mount`](https://prized.dev/docs/mount).

## 0.15.0 [#0150]

Released 2026-09-21.

* Text you copy in a `prized ssh` session lands on this machine's clipboard, in Apple Terminal too.
* `prized ports share PORT` gives a box port a prized.dev link that members of your workspace open in a browser ([Share a port](https://prized.dev/docs/ports#share-a-port-with-your-team)).
* The box agent recognises Ghostty, so tmux attaches from a Ghostty terminal.
* A box renews its SSH host certificate on its own before it expires.

## 0.14.2 [#0142]

Released 2026-09-15.

* Sync pauses before staging fills your Mac's disk.

## 0.14.1 [#0141]

Released 2026-09-15.

* A folder dropped into `prized ssh` lands on the box all at once, never half copied.

## 0.14.0 [#0140]

Released 2026-09-15.

* `prized setup` and `prized agents handoff claude` copy this machine's Claude Code sign-in to the box, or, when this machine is not signed in, leave `/login` to you on the box; they no longer create a long-lived Claude token.

## 0.13.0 [#0130]

Released 2026-09-14.

* [`prized mount`](https://prized.dev/docs/mount) runs in the background, reconnects by itself when the box sleeps or the connection drops, and answers Finder faster.

## 0.12.4 [#0124]

Released 2026-09-10.

* `prized setup` offers the folder you ran it in even when it is not a git repository, and says so when nothing was synced.

## 0.12.3 [#0123]

Released 2026-09-09.

* After `prized box rebind` (a box recreated under its name), the next connection reaches the new box right away.

## 0.12.2 [#0122]

Released 2026-09-07.

* `prized setup` starts your agent on the box and leaves this terminal where it was; `--attach` hands the terminal over.
* `prized cp` never follows a symbolic link and leaves hard links out of uploads.
* An SSH alias stays bound to the box it first connected to, and says so when the name moves to another box ([Troubleshooting](https://prized.dev/docs/troubleshooting)).
* Environment names are unique regardless of case, and the CLI resolves a name exactly or not at all.
* `prized desktop` prints the VNC password only with `--no-open` or `--json`.
* The installer verifies the release's signature before it runs the binary, and never hands your token to an unverified one.
* The commands that hand credentials to a box refuse a restricted box, and a restricted box never receives environment secret files ([Safe for third parties](https://prized.dev/docs/environments#safe-for-third-parties)).

## 0.12.1 [#0121]

Released 2026-09-04.

* Several boxes from one machine: `--box NAME` (or `PRIZED_BOX`) picks the box, each with its own daemon ([Several boxes](https://prized.dev/docs/boxes#several-boxes)).
* The daemon installs from a shell outside the macOS login session, such as an SSH session into the Mac.
* `prized setup` installs the environment's tools side by side, so it finishes sooner.
* `prized doctor` names an SSH `Include` that SSH ignores.
* A project under `~/Documents` keeps its `.env` files when it syncs.

## 0.12.0 [#0120]

Released 2026-09-02.

* A Windows client: install from PowerShell; the daemon runs as a per-user scheduled task ([Windows](https://prized.dev/docs/cli#windows)).
